Harbor Chevrolet has been Loving Long Beach Since 1923. We are right around the corner from our 100th Anniversary and we are looking for the right people to join our team. Harbor Chevrolet has one of the largest Service and Parts operations in Southern California and we are growing at a rapid pace. We also have a giant wholesale parts operation that services dealers, body shops and customers all over So Cal. We need qualified candidates fast to help us manage this growth. We are breaking records and having a lot of fun at the same time. To celebrate our 100th year, we are also building BRAND NEW state-of-the-art facilities for both Chevrolet & Hyundai (new showrooms, new service bays, new/expanded parts facilities). WHAT’S THE JOB / OPPORTUNITY?

Huge opportunity for an experienced used vehicle technician with a smog and repair license to work and thrive in our dealership. We will supply you will all the work you can handle (we have never sent someone home due to lack of work). We will even supply you with an apprentice/helper to improve your efficiency and effectiveness if this is something you would be open to (you make more money with a helper, and we train the next generation of technicians; everybody wins. REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Positive Attitude
• Strong Work Ethic
• Show up on time and ready to work
• Experience / Proven Track Record as an Automotive Transmission Technician
• Strong understanding of the service drive
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Frequently move items weighing as much as 50 pounds
• Constantly working in outdoor conditions
• Mainly working in a standing position

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
